Testimonials

My mother has been resident at Richmondwood since 2007 she has benefited greatly from the
comprehensive care of the dedicated staff. With her move to Bournemouth being from the Midlands,
this added to the trauma of my mother giving up her home of 57 years but the staff immediately provided
a haven of comfort and homeliness.

Because of the staffs attention to detail and response to the myriad of daily demands put on them, every resident is special. Medical issues are dealt with promptly and professionally, liaising with family whenever required and there is always a programme of activities designed to stimulate and entertain. Of the recent refurbishments which include the building of a lovely conservatory my mother commented that she lives at the best hotel in Bournemouth!

Her only gripe, no one knows how to play cribbage!

I knew Richmondwood was the right place for Mum after the first phone call, before I had even made my first visit. And I was not wrong.

The home is lovely; spacious yet homely. The large gardens are delightful and many residents take the opportunity to sit outside and enjoy them when the weather is warm enough. There is also a large conservatory where residents can relax and may choose to entertain their guests.

There are organised activities each afternoon and occasional trips out in the Spring and Summmer months.

The food is fabulous and Mum really appreciates being asked what she would like to eat every meal time, every day.

But above all for me, it is the care at Richmondwood that makes the home exceptional. Each resident is recognised and treated as an individual with individual wants and needs. All the staff are so cheerful and positive and nothing is too much trouble, ever. I am always made so welcome whenever I visit, at any time of day! And I know it is the same for all Mum’s visitors.

The doors of communication are always open and I really appreciate being able to contact Holly at any time about anything. She is a tower of strength and I know my Mum is in safe hands.

Richmondwood is truly home from home.

Richmondwood really is my mum’s home. She is happy there and feels valued as both an individual and a member of the community. I visit regularly and am always made welcome and encouraged to join in the various afternoon activities. I can recommend Richmondwood

I was very worried about my Mum going into a care home but I was reassured by the friendly and relaxed atmosphere at Richmondwood and my Mum is content and well cared for.

She is now very much at home at Richmondwood.

There is a selection of meals to choose from everyday and the lounge, large conservatory and beautiful gardens are all pleasant areas to relax in.

Visitors are always welcome and the home is pet friendly.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Richmondwood.
