John has owned Richmondwood since 1986 and also has interests in other Care and Nursing Homes in the south.

Managing Director

Holly took over the running of Richmondwood in February 2008. She has completed NVQ 3 & 4 in Health & Social Care and Leadership & Management in Care Award. In January 2020 she became the Business Manager to spend more time on business matters and to provide support to the Manager.

Lucy Glazer

Executive Director

Lucy finally joined the family business in 2011 and is responsible for the maintenance of the home and garden.

George Smee

George Smee


George was our Manager for 2 years back in 2006-2008 and has remained close friends with Holly. Since 2008 she has gained a vast amount of training and experience in various health and social care settings and we are thrilled to have her back at the helm.


Sarah Pillinger

Deputy Manager

Sarah (aka Pilli) joined Richmondwood in August 2011 as Sunday cook and has worked in most of the roles within the home, including Registered Manager.  She has completed her Level 3 in Health & Social Care, is a fountain of knowledge and a great support to George and all the staff.


Kasia Kruszylowicz

Senior Carer

Kasia joined us in November 2021. She has completed her Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care – Adults Advanced Practice.


Chloe Edwards

Senior Carer


Chloe joined us in November 2021 after working in intensive care for a year during the peak of the pandemic.  She has completed her Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care and is working towards her Level 3.


Matt Gough

Relief Senior

Matt joined Richmondwood in March 2020.  His role as Relief Senior is to run the shift in the absence of a Senior.  He is currently completing his Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care.




Therapy Dog

The youngest member of the Glazer family, River is employed to make everyone smile. She can usually be found asleep in the office, sitting outside the kitchen, or visiting the residents in search of food. She is paid generously in chicken and biscuits for her hard work.
