Richmondwood Care Home is located in Queens Park, Bournemouth, is located a short and level walk from the Queens Park Golf Course. Charminster high street is also within walking distance. We are less than two miles from Bournemouth beach. With local buses operating near us, the amenities of Bournemouth are easily accessible. Various areas have been paved and chairs and tables are provided to enable our residents to have a soothing and tranquil place to sit out during the warmer months. Staff can also support residents who need a little help getting outside comfortably and safely. Who will be involved in making decisions about a resident’s care? Decisions about care are made together, as a team. The resident is always at the centre of this, and we involve family members or loved ones (where the resident wants this), along with our care team and any relevant healthcare professionals.Before care begins, we complete an assessment and create a personalised care plan based on individual needs, preferences, routines, and medical requirements. The lounge is well set out and you would hardly know that you were going into a care home There is some activity every day for the residents and it is their choice to join in or not. The friend who I have care of went in for 2 weeks respite and it wasn't long before she asked if she could stay permanently. We have recommended this home to several people 3 of whom are now residents. You couldn't ask for a better place for elderly relatives and friends who want to be well looked after and respected in their later years.
